First Steps in Softball
Payton began playing softball at approximately four years old.
What started as a childhood sport would eventually become one of the defining threads of her life—teaching her competition, discipline, resilience, teamwork, and confidence.
The beginning of the journey.

Payton progressed into competitive travel softball, developing as a versatile infielder capable of playing:

Travel softball became a major part of her development and eventually her college recruiting path.

Payton entered the Pearland program and began building her high-school softball career.

This was the first major high-school recognition in what would become a four-year progression.

Continued Development: Another season of growth, positional development, and offensive production.

By this point, she was preparing to make the jump to varsity.

The Varsity Breakthrough: Payton moved into a significant role for Pearland varsity softball. She played primarily third base while maintaining the versatility to play across the infield.

2025–2026 | SENIOR YEAR
🏆 THE FINISH SHE WORKED FOR: Pearland High School Varsity Softball. Payton's final season at Pearland became the defining chapter of her high-school softball career. After years of developing through the program, she finished as a starting varsity infielder and helped Pearland reach the ultimate goal:
🏆 2026 TEXAS STATE CHAMPIONS: UIL Class 6A Division I
Pearland finished the season on top of Texas, giving Payton the opportunity to close her high-school career as a State Champion.
SENIOR SEASON HONORS:

🎓 Academic Athlete of the Year at the Pearland High School Softball Awards Ceremony

This became a major part of her exposure, development, showcase competition, and recruiting journey.
