Experience

Payton Powell has been playing competitive softball since the age of four. She began in baseball due to the lack of a softball league for her age group, but the moment she picked up a bat, the game stuck. From that first season forward, softball became her focus—and it has remained that way ever since.

Throughout her career, Payton has consistently played at a high level, often competing up in age groups and earning first-place finishes. She is known as a leader on and off the field, bringing intensity, accountability, and a team-first mindset to every roster she joins. Her development reflects years of disciplined training, competitive travel ball, and high school varsity experience.

Payton Powell’s passion for softball began at age four. Though naturally right-handed, she was trained to hit left-handed, laying the foundation for a disciplined approach to the game. Between ages 4 and 9, she developed skills across all positions, gaining a broad understanding of the field.

By age nine, Payton focused on middle infield, quickly establishing herself as a standout at shortstop and second base, while also learning third base as a backup. By 14, she embraced the role of a utility player, mastering multiple positions to support her team wherever needed.

In high school, Payton has played third base, shortstop, and second base, studying and emulating the top players in each position to refine her technique. A natural leader, she commands respect from teammates and coaches alike, combining her on-field expertise with dedication to academics and continuous self-improvement.

Payton draws inspiration from collegiate athletes like Jayda Coleman and Bella Dayton and follows professional players such as Jenae Jefferson and Nadia Taylor, using their careers as motivation to elevate her own game.
